Thank you for your interest in supporting Ƶ students through this new resource on campus, the Trojan Pantry. We understand that access to basic needs is a national issue among college students and know Troy is no exception. In our student surveys, we have found that food insecurity among our students is around 30%, consistent with national averages. We want to ensure these challenges do not become a barrier for our students and their academic progress.
We recently partnered with the Heart of Alabama Food Bank to provide a sustainable
food source for the Trojan Pantry. This helps us better maintain our inventory and
exponentially increases our buying power over what can be purchased at retail value.
Please consider supporting the pantry financially, rather than purchasing items. Or,
reach out to us to see what is most needed at the time of your drive/donation.
There are several ways to give listed below.
Purchase most needed items from the wish list and have them shipped directly to the pantry.
Host a food drive with some friends or shop for items. Please email laurencochran@troy.edu to schedule a time to drop off your food donations. Please use our regularly updated list of Most Needed Items when you shop.
The Trojan Pantry requires ongoing maintenance including stocking shelves, assisting with food bank deliveries and monitoring expiration dates. We'd love for you to join our efforts. Sign up to volunteer in the pantry.
Help us sustain these efforts. Contribute monthly through the faculty and staff payroll deduction. Be sure to list "Ƶ Hunger Initiatives" as the fund designation on the form.
Your monetary donation will ensure that we can continue to provide food resources to students. You can make your tax deductible donation to Ƶ Hunger Initiatives .
Donations may be mailed to:

We also accept new and gently used kitchen items. Small cooking appliances, pots/pans,
food storage containers and utensils can all be useful for students preparing meals.
Your donation may be taken to 122 Eldridge Hall.
Ƶ's Alumni Association Board of Directors is helping to address food insecurity needs on the Troy Campus through its recent donation to the Trojan Pantry. The Board recently donated $2,000 to the Trojan Pantry, an initiative led by the Office of Civic Engagement to address food insecurity among students that opened in November 2022. Nationally, about 30 percent of college students are food insecure at school, and those numbers hold true at TROY.
